Looks like the 59 Gibson Dot re-issue. With the 57 Humbuckers.

OH ... sorry I was so excited I did not specify.

ES-339

The Les Paul sized version of the ES-335 from the "Custom Shop".

I'm Really loving this guitar. The "Memphis" tone circuitry that supposedly maintains the high ends as you turn down the volume does seem to do exactly what they advertise.
Now for some strange reason I almost feel like a Marshall Amp is a necessity.
I thing G.A.S. could be fatal ... or perhaps my wife could be fatal ? 8)

P.S.

I was kinda sneaky when I went to purchase.
Jeanette was with me so I stopped first in front of an LP Custom the store had listed @ $3,800.00.
I pointed and said isn't that a beautiful guitar ?
My wife gasped a bit and said " Is THAT the one you want " ?

" OH no baby, I have a Les Paul " said I
The one I want is over here ...

My wife would have done more than Gasped. I think she may be a secret owner of a vintage flare gun with dark histories, ha,ha.

I thought it looked like a smaller ES-335. Good job!

Going to uncrate the Nomad and give the clean channel some tweaking.
Piques my interest to see how different it will respond to the 57's vs the VT-16

Down side is I have been quite busy and not wanting to get to far from the house.
Wife is sick, and the business loan has cleared.
That along with all the school functions ETC with the year coming to a close.

I can visit some here while I do laundry, dishes, help straighten up the house as well as run heard over teen age boys.

I get off in the metal shop with my guitar ... I might as well be on another planet.
And I know y'all know where I'm coming from.

This is weird, my wife was asking me what I want for christmas, I said I dont know, she said why dont you just go get that guitar you were talking about at GC a few weeks ago. I was looking at an Explorer, Im thinking where have you been all my life!

If I had been married to her for a long time, I would have a house full of guitars!

I sure don't need anymore guitars, I've bought new Strats and Les Pauls but they just sit on the shelf, all I play are the old ones. But I'll take a new acoustic (Martin?) if you have to get me something.

Santa,

Send me an acoustic that doesn't sound like a tin can with strings.

Oh and send Jimmy the same, he wants a high end acoustic without issues that plays correctly without an argument from the shop you bought it in.

Do this and I promise not to shoot at your sled as it passes by this year. lol

Played the ES-339 the first time with the full band last night.

OMG ! This thing screams.

I love the way it sounds through the VT-16. :D

And with a lo of time to really get accustomed to working the fret board.
Man ... I love this guitar.

At the risk of sounding like a little girl on her cell phone.

OMG OMG OMG
