Thank you so kindly, Lynard... at least you understand the reality of it. I know you're all trying to be sooo kind an back me up and gt my spirits up by telling me not to give up but I just explained in the best detail one could as to why, in this case, it most likely won't ever happen! Not saying that once in a while I'm not gonna give it a try but I'm also not going to fool myself into thinking mind over matter" thoughts when the physical "parts" of my body are gone. This isn't my arm anymore...they saved it but they didn't make it "magically bionic". The made it so I can grasp stuff and live a better life than an amputee. Not become the next Yngwie. Like I said the 2 fingers on my left hand are healed as best can be and they cant even bend enough to touch the fret board let alone trying to play with and arm that is: titanium, cadaver and all broken bone bits from the elbow up! I had my fun....now lwt someone else enjoy my beautiful equipment instead of it just sitting there in the corner. I just can't wait till it's all over and we reach a settlement. I'lll be able to put the majority of it in an IRA till I'm ready in 10 years and hopefully get on Long term disability. I won't be able to buy anymore nice bikes and cars but I'll be able to breathe in life and enjoy the simple things without the worry of putting my family into debt!
Most people remember Claude Monet’s for his impressionist paintings and his founding depiction of the painting technique. However, few people realize that as the Frenchman grew older in the early 1900s, he eventually went blind due to cataracts. In the last decade of his life despite his failing eyesight, he continued to paint including the famous paintings of water lillies, “Nymphéas.” Though Monet was not blind during the most productive painting period of his life, his work is still inspirational.
Almost completely paralyzed by amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, British physicist Stephen Hawking is an academic celebrity known for his theories concerning black holes and his best-selling book “A Brief History of Time.” While few people could completely grasp his concepts without an in-depth explanation, his theories have become as well-known as Galileo, Newton and Einstein in the scientific community.
Few musicians have ever made their mark when they are deaf. However, one Austrian/German composer and piano virtuoso did just that after losing most of his hearing from tinnitus at the age of 20. Ludwig van Beethoven then used special hearing tubes and felt the vibrations of his piano to compose, which he did through a Classical, a Heroic and, finally, a Romatic period after tutoring under some of the other great composers in history, Mozart and Haydn. One of the most well-known composers in history, his accomplishments are as dazzling and spell-binding when taken into consideration that he was never able to hear his own work.
Maybe your story is just begining. What will be said hasn't been written yet. There are always firsts.
When life has been tough or difficult i would wonder have i taken the wrong path, or is it suppose to be this difficult? I never know for sure. I only know I'll push through it go around it or change my course.
I can't for one moment truly put myself in your shoes but i believe in the human spirit. From that I see a man with a deep love for his family and a passion for making people smile through his playing. I hope you never give up or lose that.
You may have to accept a change in your lifes course but your love to make others smile should not go away just do it another way if you have to. I don't pray but I think of you and wish you and your family to be well again. You're writing your story keep thinking how you want it to go.
