I can't fathom how people play f**k up.

It never makes you better, only makes you worse.

Worse is when you get stuck at a show where you have to watch them be f**k up. (They are amused, but you aren't)

Reminds me of TYPE O NEGATIVE. Poor Peter Steele was all drunk on wine in Germany (I think) and of course they got it on video.

Same here man, one good hit on some decent weed and I could not tell an E string from my elbow.

I had some nasal surgery recently and did pain pills for three weeks. I figured that I'd at least get a good buzz.

Nope. No fun at all.

Plus, and this really sucked, it screwed up my meter. Keeping time is hard enough without that stuff.

But I will confess that in one of my first bands, my own brother threatened to fire me because I was hitting the sauce over losing a woman. Got my attention.

Yup-yup, I can't help thinking about Jimi Hendrixs' bad shows. I bet those were the ones that he actually used something before he tried to play.
