Thanks for sharing this...I had never heard these before and I am familiar with both musicians. Never realized how accomplished Dan Fogelberg was.

At my home as I look out my front window I have about an 50 yard deep hollow of mixed hard wood, some bull pine, and cedars, between me and the barely two lane oil top road.
On the other side of the road my neighbors pasture is light tan with winters grass and brightly lit by this mornings glorious rays of sun.

The whole time I listened to these three offerings of joyous sound, seven billion black birds were streaming across in front of me perhaps 20 ft above the leaf litter.

The effect was surreal. The flow of the music, the motion of the birds.
The last few birds filtered unhurriedly though the trees as the final strains of your music played.

WOW

In the words of my local and generation ...

F'n A man ! 8)

I finally went in and listened Mary... I've been in a way lately that I didn't even want to hear any music much less play any. Sorry.
But I finally broke down and went to your music.

I had some coffee and smoke and fired up your player, and began to melt.

You bring so much class to us in so many ways here @ BM and to anyone lucky enough to give you a listen or know you.
You are so expressive. I know that I am listening to you, not just your instrument.
Never Stop!

P.S. you also brought that same class to my song Id by utilizing that expressiveness so well 8)
Thank You Mary!

Thank you so much Hayd. My axe is an extension of me. It is my hands, my eyes, my ears and without it I am incomplete. However, there is always room for improvement which is why I have been really practicing. I enjoyed working on Id very much. . Thank you for that opportunity.

I would like to share this ditty done by Frank Wess. It was this piece that made me realize that there was something more to the flute than Mozart. I learned this song by ear and began improvising to this without knowing that improvisation was a beneficial skill. Learning to improvise alowed my to worm my way into the high school jazz band where I learned to play the alto saxophone. I also doubled on bari sax and I got to play the flute solos.

My dad purchased this album for me and the rest is history.

Wow! I mean WOW!! Let me know when the embers start to settle Jahva, and I'll throw another guitar on the fire then go make us all some more coffee. As with neanderpaul, I too got those shimmering chills. What a treat!!!

Sterling. So nice to hear things like this on BandMix. The accompaniment is wonderful, too.
