Yeah, I think so - for most people anyway.
Maybe some folks are self-centered, and could care less about helping others, and leaving a mark, and all . . . but . . .
. . . I think - for the most part - that most people want the world to love them and appreciate them for something they've contributed to society.
. . . their 'mark.'
Most of us want the world to be better off for having be a part of it. (Sociopaths could care less, but I'm not concerned with them, nor will I associate with them).

Some folks just want to party all the time, without a care.
.
Some people want to pass a skill they've learned to a worthy individual.

Success is about deciding ahead of time specifically what it is that you want to achieve - and then clearing blocks of time, and working for it. . . . and completing every single leading task necessary to reach your goal, like a football player running down his opponents.
.
We all have our own ideas of success . . .
.
The first thing for us to do, I think, is to decide exactly what you want to achieve.
The 2nd thing is to make a specific, written plan, anticipating obstacles which you'll have to overcome.
3rd - decide - once and for all - if you are truly willing to put in the time and effort. If you ARE willing - then you have a goal.
.
Achieve that goal - your idea of success - and you've succeeded.
Then look around your life, and see what else you need to do, for the next goal . . .
