People that use the other side of their brains cant understand us. They think in an orderly fashion. They cant understand how you can create a song from nothing. They would need to research the subject and keep everything rymeing correctly and be very factual. Would probably be no emotional references. Probably verse, chorus, verse, chorus, out

My life is so great right now, I can't be bothered to care about a dis, in jest or not :-)

This is what happens when happiness finds you and smothers you. Little things fall away...

I know a lot of creative people, not just musically. I am not creative but I do interpret the music, so I may have just a little creativity in me.

Most, not all, but MOST creative people are a little hard to get along with for LONG periods of time. Example: I worked at a hair salon, very creative people there, after 8 years I found that I was having a hard time dealing with them daily. I do go back and work for the salon strictly in the office ever other week for one day. I can now enjoy being around them again. Had to take about 5 months away from them to get back to that point.

I found that the more creative the person, the more self oriented. Not that being self oriented is a totally bad thing. Someone has to do it! :P

Just a few of my own cents thrown in the mix.

Creative people do get along better with other creative people better because you all are coming from the same place. :)

Robin I think we understand tolerate and get over each other quicker thats all. Craig or phil might piss me off something terrible but after I respond I'm over it completely. Someone noncreative may linger until all is correct and straight. I just need to get it out.

I can honestly say that there is no one in here that I dont like,---- except Hamilton, something about him erks me. Dont know what it is. A lot of us have said some shi**y things to each other but we get passed it quickly. SHI**Y is cool sometimes.

I get along great with creative musicians.
.
I think the thing with creative musicians is that they quickly get bored with mediocre musicians.
The 'average' just holds no interest for them, and sometimes they forget to be diplomatic about it . . .
.
Yeah, 'bored' probably descibes it best . . .
.
Given a choice of being with creative musicians, or average - that's a no-brainer for me.
And, when they make comments on my music; I make comments about their music. It's all good.
pro - or - Con comments - we always 'get into it,' and get along great.
.
There are areas of music I can discuss w/creative musicians, which I cannot discuss with average musicians.
But - standard music or creative - it's all good . . .

O come on truelly creative people are self centered with huge egos

It takes a lot of compromising to get along with them for extended lengthes of time, cause they have a vision of where they are going that others cant always relate too. And the hardcore creative person isnt going to compromise. Just keep moving in the direction they want to go in either with or without you.

I'm confused...I consider myself to be a VERY creative person, but I also suffer from some OCD, and I don't just forget about things. It will drive me nuts until everything is in it's proper place...And linger? I hold a grudge for a LONG time...I don't understand the relationship between artistic nature and patience in dealing with others. If anything, my passion for what I do makes me more INTOLERANT to people who don't want to get it right.

OCD is a special individual circumstance. I was talking in general.

No doubt men get over things much faster than women do. I don't think that has anything to do with artistically creative personalities. Women are completely different creatures. Trust me, I know this!

Speak for yourself young Lady. :D
I'm with Joseph. I too am a creative person but not just in music and I agree with him too in as much that stuff lingers like a lost friend until you've figured a way around it or have worked a compromise. It just never ends but power be to the busy mind. It can if trained I feel, work wonders.
