If at first you don't secede, try try again!

At least it won't be as far when I want to go on vacation to Mexico.

No way, a fellow Contra Costian! I used to hate BART on the weekdays, somebody either reeks real bad or you get chocked out from some woman who forgot what moderation was while wearing perfume.

Ya mon. Actually I live in Castro Valley - about an hour ten min commute 1-way. Sometimes BART is entertaining - last month was a guy engaged in a full on debate with himself about aliens in the white house. His elevator didn't go all the way up. It kept me entertained most of the way, but some poor lady in front of me had to move to another car cause he kept looking in her direction (blank stare) after every role change =:).

When I went to school in San Fran I used to see these kind of people and realized how sane I actually was, and was puzzled at how bad insanity can get.

I'll admit, BART is a great resource for people watching.

I love the crazies on the subway in NYC.

We feed them and give them cigarettes, heck I almost adopted one I felt so bad for him. That is, until I got him a job and he wouldn't go.

Then he was out like the cat who shiiaaattt the bed.

I want to visit NY. Where do you recommend visiting? I don't want to go where all the yuppies took over. I want to see NY in the raw, but not where I could get beat down either.

CA is a beautiful place. I wouldn't move for anything. We got mountains, the beach, fine ladies...etc.

I spent about 12 years in California. I would move there about every two years or so, but I would always come back home. I liked it. But I missed the seasonal changes so I would always move back to Iowa.

Once I was all packed and ready to head to the airport, and thought what the hell am I doing? So I talked myself out of it and I unpacked my stuff stayed here. I'm still not sure if that was the right game plan. Being snowed in for several months makes spring really special to me. While having nice days every day in California was great, I became used to them, and they weren't anything special anymore. Here I can appreciate the seasons for better or worse.

It is motorcycle time again here. That is something I would take for granted if I was still in a constant climate state. But here is is always refreshing to be able to ride again after a crappy winter. Variety is the spice of life.
