Some of which kicked azz.

80s over 90s, but the 90s were good.

Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Rage Against the Machine, and {gulp scared to even say this} Creed. All of those were major huge groups that really when I think 90s I think of. I don't necessarily think any of them were the most super talented in the world (although Mark Tremonti the guitarist from Creed went on to prove he's a major guitar god)... but still they were decade "defining". For 2000s I'd have to say Seether, Audioslave, etc.

I almost wore out my Refreshments (now Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers) CD's. Loved that Southwestern flavor they added to rock, with mariachi overtones. Also, same with Screaming Cheetah Wheelies. There were quite a few "one album wonders" that I really appreciated but, unfortunately, the radio gods didn't see it that way.

I like LIVE. Their singer was simply amazing, though thier material was touch & go.

For me, the last 20 years hes seemed as though the world at large was just biding its time, waiting for the next big thing. It still hasn't appeared.

If you look around you can find some decent music from any era.

Our bassist has a studio and was letting me listen to a local group hes recording called Jupitor Stone, they have this Hendrixy jam vibe feel. I figured they were my age from the type of sound they had, but they are in their 20s.

I was talking with my son about this since he has started singing, his first cds were Tool and POD, so for him those will always be his favorite cds, just like for me it was the Chipmunks! LOL

Phil, if you liked that, seek out "Human Cannonball". One of the best CDs of the 90's.

Mostly through the 90's, I was listening to Hardcore, Thrash, and Death metal, but I liked a lot of the 'grunge/alternative' rock bands. I discovered HELMET in '92. About 99% of the people I met were into mainstream rap/hip-hop.

I remember getting a lot of guff because I'm half black, and everybody who met me insisted that I should be listening to rap, and I should act 'blacker'. They thought it was quite odd that I wore a beat up green army jacket with a Led Zeppelin patch on it.

Why act blacker? Plenty of white kids running around being black for ya.

DO WHAT YOU DO AND DON'T PAY ATTENTION TO THE OTHERS, they don't know shiat.

They're the same, pretty much. The difference being that less of the good bands from this era are getting famous.
