I can agree with the "Bandmix is not effective for finding musicians" sentiment that he tried to express less eloquently. I also am a "Free" member and Bandmix has not helped me find the musicians I need to complete my project.

It has led me to meet some cool folks, and some wanna-be's who thought a Rock band was going to be like the video game.

Also a cool forum... but so far, it has not lived up to its hype of hooking me up with local musicians.

Lest I be assumed to have just "waited" for musicians to contact me... I have sent out hundreds of emails, googled personal information and locations to try and contact around the "pay to play" thing... and have interviewed and auditioned dozens of potentials...

But I'm not going to rant and blame bandmix for my woes.

OK. Where does Bandmix advertise that this is a forum dedicated to finding musicians for your band? Where does it say that Bandmix is a tool for linking you up with other musicians for gigs or collaborations? Did I miss something when I joined?

I haven't any problems Bandmix as is. It is a forum for musicians. Does it even tell us that this forum is for music related posts only? I have met a lot of cool peeps here. Doesn't that count for something? So Why all the whining?

Perhaps I just don't get it. But I will be the first to admit that.

????? I went to get "More Smileys" It's the same bunch of smileys that show up without "Getting more smileys" Someone should go to "Guitar logic" and see what they have for smileys. Now those folks HAVE smileys. Tons of really great smileys.

But then, I'm not here for the smileys anyway. Just a suggestion.

Maybe that $9.99 can go towards a gym membership, just saying...

I think you have to realize that there are REAL people behind posts and no matter what they say there is a feeling there, some might not agree with that feeling but it does NOT STOP IT.

Yep he's on most of the same stuff I'm on, I've tried just about everything. I know he was going through a rough time and its about 5 months I believe?
