-Bloated defense budgets, unnecessary spending on failed concepts such as "star wars"
-Massive deregulation that ultimately led to two stock market crashes.
-Massive-scale union busting, including substantial firings of people for exercising their right to strike.
-the beginning of war on middle class
-war on drugs: eventually putting more people in jail per capita than any other civilized country in the world
-Massive tax cuts for wealthy people and corporations, ultimately leading to substantial government under-funding and debt.
-Iran Contra. It's fact at this point.
-Supporting The taliban and Al-queda (Bin-Laden DIRECTLY) with money and stockpiles of weaponry to use against the soviets. Yes, we are responsible for CREATING al-queda, arming them, providing training and support, and ultimately abandoning them, directly causing them to turn on us.. and what was the eventual result?
-Trickle down economics. Still today the myth exists that this system works. It really does. For the rich. Not so much for the middle class or poor though. Any other reason why the rich since then have got so much richer and the poor so much poorer? The "poor people are lazy excuse" doesn't really work anymore.

I'm of the opinion that ALL politicians are evil mother-effers. The right wing just owns more of it than the left. It's not about us against them, but that's exactly the trap 90% of Americans have fallen into.

Wedge issues like abortion, gay marriage, stem-cell research, global warming; just to name a few, are being exploited by BOTH SIDES in order to keep the voters at each others throats, mindless to the corruption and cronyism that has engulfed our entire government. Does anyone reallly believe that the corruption could exist without complete support from BOTH parties? Why are there no third parties - with exception to the tea party, which was created explicitly to replace the republican party, should it fall. Look up who the primary donors are to the tea party movement. Look up where the money behind the organizers comes from. All right wing.

And the left wing? Don't get me started. They may not be quite as bad, but they aren't exactly looking out for any of our best interests, either. There are no more REAL democrats or republicans, nearly all belong to the "money party". There are maybe 2-3 exceptions in all of congress, and few exceptions if any outiside of that. State governments are even more corrupt than the federal one. We're not being screwed, we're getting gangbanged, and they are using sand as lube.

So what's the solution? Dunno. The libertarians are mostly gun-toting nutjobs, and the green party is too soft on many issues.

Maybe the "peoples" party.. I dunno.

But this constant "we're right and you're wrong" crap gets old.

Palin would possibly be the president that ended it all. And not in a good way. She's a religious fanatic. Fanatics are BAD for countries, especially when they RUN them.

It's a case of the lesser of two evils I guess. Or of voting against a candidate instead of for one. Either way you're right, and it's the middle class who have to pay for the messes our politicians get us into.

Kramer , you are so f**k wrong about Reagan. Go back and remember a time were at any moment the soviet union could have launched a first strike of massive nuclear destruction. I grew up with it I lived with it and after 30 years it Reagan backed it up so that all the American people didn't have to wake up to kiss their asses goodbye.
As far as economics ,Reagan increased the WHOLE tax base, and brought us out of a very similar situation we are in today. I dont see anything wrong with letting you and me keep a little more of our hard earned dollars. TAX rates went down for us also.

Wrong. This is about politics, nothing more. By your logic if I said I didn't like OJ Simpson you would say I don't like all football players. To me Palin is a quitter and just not very bright. I will do whatever I can to prevent her from ever becoming president.

Also, if I don't like women, why did I support Clinton? I still think she would have made the better president but she's doing well as Sec. of State. Your argument just doesn't hold water.
