I guess it's ludicrous to wish our inane government would stop "tightening security" and do what they should have done long ago...make damn sure at least half the passengers have guns and know how to use them. Hijackings would stop immediately.

The way it's done now, they only give the terrorists exactly what they want, defenseless victims.

Put guns back on the planes and this problem will be 90% solved. Very few people are going to try and attack ARMED VICTIMS...

I realize terrorists are a bit different, but I'm willing to bet the plane hijackings would drop sharply if the US put guns back on the planes and let them know they WILL be shot.

Tightening security = herding us into larger and larger groups and removing our ability to defend ourselves.
How the hell does that solve anything?
