Sean.... Let's hear you play something with absolutely no echo, no whammy, no nothing...except overdrive.... I'll bet you these guys would be impressed if you got rid of all the tricks that a billion other guitarists have.... Here's 2 of me live last year.... A little sloppy, I've gotten better each gig but check out the crowd response and all I'm using live is a little overdrive. Sure, I can do all the tricks.... I used to do Vai and Halen way back but I'm finding that the crowd isn't as impressed with the "tricks" anymore.... they're overdone and played out! Like I said once before, you could prolly run rings around me but, ya know what, I'm getting paid and the crowd loves it.

I actually like your playing and your love of your craft.... I'm just noticing a "trick" trend in everything you post.... Tricks are awesome but can be overdone.... They're supposed to be just a little tease in a lead .... makes you look more sophisticated and keeps people on edge for the next "trick"
