You guys need to chill out. LOL

Ryan is a good kid. He is professing a belief system (Christianity) that immediately makes you a target these days. He deserves "some" respect for that alone. But he is a kid still, so he thinks he knows more than he does, and he speaks (types) without really thinking things through well, or considering their consequences. Life will knock him on his ass before long, and he will learn, as most of us have, from the school of hard knocks. How many of us believe exactly the same things or act in the same ways as we did in our teens or 20's?

And Ricky (?) seems like a decent fellow too. He cares about the country, believes parents deserve respect, believes in not allowing pain or struggles, to defeat you, that they are necessary parts of life, and we have to work our way through them. Those are wise beliefs and display character, or at least a belief in character.

So both you guys have values I can admire. Chances are, you could find some adirmation for one another as well, between all the baiting and insulting.

Try it out.

You could be fast friends one day, who knows?

It's just reactionary bullsh*t.

Life is too short for that mess to keep going without end.

this is all very true. lol like ive said i didnt start that thread to have it blow up like that. i was wanting to see if fellow musicians who understand what it takes and what goes into making music more so than the rest of population think about such a genre. my next thread will be "i HATE guitar hero!" hahaha...cuz i do... lol

Now I remember why I left Bandmix

All I did was make a comment about how complaining about somethings existence isn't going to make it stop existing. Then I get played off as some "kid" who doesn't know anything. I mean, am I wrong? If I make an entire website dedicated to how much I hate something, do you think I'd have any impact on the world? No. That 's all i was trying to say. This whole thing got blown way out of proportion. ryckykay86 is just being a troll because it's the internet, and anybody can be tough over the internet.

I tend to side with Ryan on this one (sounds like you need a wingman here buddy). Ranting won't change anything; I don't post threads like "I hate country music!" because (a) there's no point and (b) it would more likely inflame someone else who does like that genre.

On the other hand - it's a harmless rant. And I think the OP knows full well that his comment isn't going to change anything; he's just blowing off some steam. It's harmless.

No harm, no foul.

lol unfortunately country wont be going anywhere. its foundation is rooted too deep. but u dont see entire radio stations devoted to crap i mean emo. so maybe theres still hope. BUT it wont come from me bickering with someone on the internet. it will fade into obscurity on its own....hopefully anyway haha. if someone that genuinely enjoys that genre has something positive to say about it then by all means i would like to hear it, im open to anything. but this kid immediately out of the gate calls me stupid for an opinion. lol just seems a bit odd that he does that then hops on someone else thread about hating something and doesnt sh*t a brick and accuse him of single handedly trying to wipe out craigslist

BTW - in response to the OP: nope, never had that problem with Craigslist.

But based on your evidence, I'd tend to agree with you - it should be a "little" harder for people's ads to get taken down. Just flagging an ad and having it automatically go away... doesn't seem like a good solution to me.

Another thought: I am sitting here trying to think of solutions to the problem when this occurs to me: I wonder how many distinct user accounts have to "flag" a posting before it is removed? Is it ONE? That's too few, if so. It should take multiple user accounts flagging a post before it actually gets removed. I wonder if a suggestion to Craigslist might help in this regard?

this probably came to be from all the crazies that suck gullable buyers in and then rape them in a tub full of broken shards of glass and tobasco sauce. probably a safety measure taken too far. like the patriot act hahaha
