Awesome for you Crip! Yeah, it's a good feeling getting asked to play with people that seem out of your league, only to find that you fit in as well or better than most. I checked out a semi professional band once that was taking auditions for a lead guitarist (back when I was still in my twenties). When they told me they wanted everything note for note, I declined to even audition as that just wasn't my thing. Looking back, I'd like to kick my own a$$ for being stubborn. That would have made me a much better guitarist now, and could have been a great gig for me then.
It's also awesome that they are taking the time to point out the little mistakes and helping you hone your skills. Shows that they have a real interest in having YOU as their man. Good luck and good jammin'!
