Ask a Jew, with any family from Germany, who built the concentration camps.
It was the Christians.
Atheists didn't do that.
Conservative Nazis hated Atheists too.

A reading from the book of Leviticus
Chapter 19

1
The LORD said to Moses,
2
"Speak to the whole Israelite community and tell them: Be holy, for I, the LORD your God, am holy.

11
"You shall not steal. You shall not lie or speak falsely to one another.
12
You shall not swear falsely by my name, thus profaning the name of your God. I am the LORD.
13
"You shall not defraud or rob your neighbor. You shall not withhold overnight the wages of your day laborer.
14
You shall not curse the deaf, or put a stumbling block in front of the blind, but you shall fear your God. I am the LORD.
15
"You shall not act dishonestly in rendering judgment. Show neither partiality to the weak nor deference to the mighty, but judge your fellow men justly.
16
You shall not go about spreading slander among your kinsmen; nor shall you stand by idly when your neighbor's life is at stake. I am the LORD.
17
"You shall not bear hatred for your brother in your heart. Though you may have to reprove your fellow man, do not incur sin because of him.
18
1 Take no revenge and cherish no grudge against your fellow countrymen. You shall love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD.

This is the Word Of the LORD

blessed be the name of the LORD

Matthew 7:15-20
New King James Version

15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

I'm ordained through a church in Tubingen Germany. I literally have hundreds of friends who are children/grandchildren of Nazis. I tour Germany once or twice a year since 2006, not to mention eastern european countries where the nazis first turned everyone into victims; and then perpetrators of the same ideology.

I'm also a singer/songwriter of worship music used mostly by messianic jews and christians, with literally hundreds of friends who are children/grandchildren of Shoah (Holocaust) victims, not to mention dozens of friends who are themselves actual Shoah survivors. I've personally visited dozens, if not hundreds, of concentration camps, labor camps, and death camps as well as going to historical sites related to Hitler like the unmarked bunker where he died and every site in Berlin & Nurnberg & Munich where he made propoganda films.

I know my history through the actual people involved. Hitler's goddaughter, Rozmary Klaussen, is a personal friend of mine.

The first thing Hitler did when he came to power was begin pushing God out of German society. Yes, there were people in his inner circle who were nominally "christian" but not in the biblical sense. In many parts of the world still today, people are called "christian" because that is background of the family they were born into, but biblically one can only be a "Christian" by the indwelling of the "Ruach HaKodesh" (Spirit of Holiness).

Apart from that transformation, no has ever been born-again as a christian. It is impossible to truly be a christian and support murder. Period. We can parse definitions of murder vs killing (to protect the innocent) but murder is one of the Big 10 which thou shalt not do.

Hitler was less of a christian than Mike Nobody or Jimmydanger. His devoted followers all went through a ceremony (yearly) whereby they committed themselves to Adolph Hitler, over the state of Germany and over God. Hitler demanded worship from his devotees, which goes against Commandment Numero Uno. "Thou shalt have no other gods before Me"

Were there christians who got caught up in the war and supported Hitler? I think it's obvious that happened. But again, anyone who supported Hitler was going against the faith and practise of biblical christianity.

Now you're getting into the anti-semitism encased within european theology that goes all the way back to the second century. Anyone who has read the bible knows that the Apostle Peter clearly spells out who is to blame for the crucifixtion of Jesus in Acts 4:26-27. Every person who has ever sinned is responsible.

Yes, Martin Luther wrote "On Jews and Their Lies" where he advocated burning jews in their synagogues, which many in Hitler's inner-circle would have been familiar with, and used it as justification. There was also Gerhardt Kittel and his father, Rudoph, who created "Deutch Christien" whereby Jesus was an aryan, and all His followers were aryans. None of that comes from the Bible, but rather from human philosophy and vain imaginings.

And many churches of Europe still today have the "judensau" on their beautiful cathedrals.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judensau

This is my life's mission...to oppose those lies within christianity and bring biblical reform. It's easier to show a pagan the truth than it is to convince a christian that their theology contradicts the scriptures. But I have to try....

Colbert gets it exactly wrong again here. A government that takes from those who have and redistributes to others in need, robs society of the joy that comes from giving generously of our own free will. It's ass-backwards, creates resentment among all, and is counter productive.

That is just the same old "Well, those weren't REAL Christians" excuse, isn't it?

To someone being marched off to the concentration camps, that is very little consolation."
