It can't be Canada...I've been there quite a few times and met a lot of gracious, intelligent people. I think this is a case of a loudmouth poser who has a habit of opening his mouth before he has any facts, and then he retreats to "well on to another topic" when he gets his ass handed to him yet again.
'mage I've always tried to give you the benefit of the doubt by not writing you off after each one of these dust ups. But I'm beginning to realize that it's not doing much good to pursue that tack. If you truly want to go after a career in artist management/representation, your social skills are going to need a major overhaul. I gaurantee you that with the attitudes you demonstrate here, you're going to turn off just about everyone you come in contact with, and that's surely a career killer. So here's a few bits of advice for you, meant to help and not simply to degrade:
1. Don't propose, as a self avowed AMATUER, to judge professionals.
2. Don't make pious pronouncements about things you clearly do not have the facts or knowledge of, before hand. As the old saying goes, "Make sure brain is engaged before putting mouth in gear". It's no crime to be ignorant about a subject if you are willing to learn; but its a major turn off to stubbornly maintain ignorant positions until others back you into a corner. Then, you look like a fool and have little to no credibility left.
3. Don't be so damn arrogant. Frankly, you don't have the gas and haven't paid the dues.
I know this will likely set off another narcissistic (thanks Craig, I think you nailed that one) tirade, so let it roll. But know that we pretty much have your number on this front, and you aren't fooling anyone anymore. So you could learn and evolve, or you could continue as you are and be an unknown, in perpetuity. Your choice.
