Here, like everywhere else in life...you get what you give. When you initially showed up you were given plenty of good advice....."put up some music", "explain what genre(s) you play and are looking to do", "share a photo or video", it was explained to you that not many musicians (likely few in your area) frequent the forum....etc, etc.
And you responded w attitude and insults.
And now...what....a yr later you're still looking for people who want to sign on to play with you? Is that a surprise to anyone?
Your participation on this FORUM has been nothing but you blowing your own horn bragging about your "readiness". Have you participated in even one music discussion, even one thread that didn't have to do w yourself?
You're bitching about the lack of feedback for your tune???? Really? when was the last time YOU weighed in on someone else's music here? Oh, that's right....never.
And "collaborations"? There have been plenty here.....get your head out your arse long enough to recognize that. Perhaps if you participated in a thread other than your own you would have noticed.
Here's my feedback on your tune...I'd not said anything earlier because I had nothing positive to say. But you want feedback so here it is....
like Mike pointed out, the recording/mix/production is very poor. Weak levels, dropouts....it has no sparkle or sizzle, and sounds like it was recorded w a 1980's Panasonic cassette deck w a cheap mic.
But it also sounds like it was recorded (sequenced) on a cheesey 1990 Casio "band in a box" $100 keyboard workstation. I know you mention you're into "neo soul", but dude....those sounds on the recording just sound dated and old to me. It sounds like some sad lounge lizard wearing a polyester leisure suit w big collars in a Holiday Inn circa 1978.
The actual playing...competent, but what is it? jazz? no. soul? no. It just lays there like elevator music w no hooks, nothing terribly interesting going on rhythmically (drum machine drone), and it never really develops or goes anywhere to generate interest and get something going.
If you did this in an actual studio.....i'd say you need find another studio. STAT.
hey, sorry for the tough love...but you asked for feedback.
Wow. In the end, I still win.
And there you have it again...that spoiled brat pissy countenance.. What is it you believe you've "won"? You still can't field a team of musicians who want to work w you after a year of trying? In a BIG market like Memphis? Still not out there gigging....when so clearly you want it?
That's not MY definition of a winner. That's not MY definition of anyone who's "ready".
