Alright man.. My first HaleAmanO gig. It's gonna be fun. Small coffee house gig to start. Good times. There are bigger gigs coming up, so I wanted to start with this one.

Ahhh.. To be playing out again. Feels good.

I have songs on my profile now. Enjoy.

Hahaha.. I'm the guy way to the left. WAY to the left. Like out of the picture to the left..

JK man.

The flier was made before I met the band.

Thanks for all the good luck thrown my way guys. It's been a lot of work so far to get the songs down in such a short time. Especially since I'd never really played a Reggae song before I met this band. I still have a lot of practicing to do, but I'm actually doing really good at it. The songs sound different with my leads in them than the demo. But in a good way. I'm really happy so far with this band. These guys are a lot of fun, and really cool to work with.

Craig, where've you been man? Haven't heard from you in a while?

OK.. So my first gig with HaleAmanO.

It went pretty good I'd say. Small coffee shop setting. Crowd of about 20 people. Real fun intimate setting.

I only actually knew 5 songs. We played 10. So I had to wing it for 5. And all I really knew how to do was chillin' leads for them. Used the wah, background scale phrasing. It really did add a cool dimension to the songs even though I'd never heard the songs before. I was a real trip improvising like that, but according to the band, and the small crowd, " you were sick man, you tore it up!"

I've had "2" practices with this band. I just met them 2-weeks ago. Never played Reggae before, and now we have a gig at the Canyon Club at the Four Queens Hotel and Casino THIS FRIDAY!!

To put that in perspective.. The Canyon Club is like playing the House of Blues, or The Joint at the Hard Rock. I feel completely unprepared for it. But the band isn't worried about it at all. They're just like, "just do what you do man, you're sick, just have fun".... I LOVE THIS BAND!!!

Never in my life have I been in a band who just laughs off their mistakes. "Dude I f**k up all the time, we just laugh it off, and on to the next song." Or, "dude, sometimes I don't know what the hell is going on either, I just go with the flow and it just seems to work out somehow. No big deal. None of us care or worry about it, we just laugh. You'll be fine man, don't worry about it."

EVERY band I've ever been in, we've been extremely tight in knowing every part and performing it with precision. One little minuscule, millisecond off on something, and someone was riding you ass. And it always seemed to create a negativity. Worried about f**king up. Trying to perfect everything or you were gonna hear it from somebody. Then the finger-pointing would start. "This guy f**k up all the time! I'm sick of it!"

This band just doesn't seem to operate that way. It's foreign to me. But I'd have to say, the only pressure I feel, is the pressure I put on myself.

I've told myself more than once today," you know you're not prepared for this show". But the rest of the band is really excited to have me playing it. I just got a list of 5 songs 30-minutes ago that we'll be playing on Friday, and the only time I've ever heard them, was last Sunday when I was winging it!! I don't even know what the chords are!! And I'm going to be playing these in front of a packed house at the Canyon Club????

YOU BET YOUR ASS I AM!!!! Hahaha!!

I'm in the greatest band ever!! HaleAmano f**king rules!

Try and remember the fu*k-ups. Sometimes they are better than what you thought you should have done. It"s a good idea to record everything even if the recording isn"t the best quality. Some of the best parts of our tunes started as screw-ups gone good. It sounds like the relaxed nature of your new band is like a breath of fresh air. You guys will end up being a killer band because you don"t have to worry about what you"re playing. Let the creativity roll!

EXACTLY Bob!! That's why I love this band!

Just be yourself. Create. Fly. Be free. In the end it'll work itself out.

There is "0" pressure in this band. None.

And it reflects in the band. Every member has a lot of talent. So just have fun with it. There's a lot of trust and patience. And the songs just end up sounding killer. Somehow, some way, they just do.

Talented musicians always find a way to make the song better. I"m NOT a guitarist. I"m NOT the keyboardist or harp player or drummer. The people in my band are good. They know what they"re doing. They'll come up with something good, they always do. That"s my attitude. I can"t tell them what to play. That"s not my job. If you just worry about what you do and have the freedom to do what YOU think will sound good, then it makes playing SO MUCH FRIGGIN FUN. If every band member is having a good time the audience can tell, it"s infectious. If you"re out there having a good time even if you screw up, the audience doesn"t know jack. You"re all having a good time. That"s what the audience DOES KNOW. Playing in the knid of band you"re into is STRESS FREE. Play and have fun and the gigs will come. EnjoyX!

Shredd6, I am pleased for you and for myself. Now you know how I feel about the clanI jam with. We are so tight with each other as bandmates that we enjoy every moment we get to play together.
The truth will set you free my man. Now go out there and slay them.

God bless your coming and going.
