RULES:

1) Can't vote for yourself, you selfish creeps.

2) Be honest, if you don't have one or you think it's between a few that's ok. Say so.

3) Tell us why.

I'll go first.

My favorite band on BANDMIX is.. (drum roll please) "The MindMelters."

I think that tune (One Last drink) is hot. It makes me want to punch someone and drink a bottle of Jack Daniels (not necessarily in that order) lol

WHo is your favorite BANDMIX band>? And why>?

My son Ry's new trio! (can't vote for myself,so I just made him the leader)

Honorable mentions,

Southern Mischief (Southern Rock)

Panic Attack (Classic rock)

Mikey's band (when he descreams his singer)

Fisherman Bob and the Bluefin Tuna Band (Blues)

Burning the Sun (alternative rock)

Cyber Christ (Death Metal)

Haystack's old band with Candy ( Hot Country)

Jon Nilsons old band (R&B)

I like Mind Melter's too . as well as most all of those creative bands that I forget how to spell!

Oh come on, that's easy:

1. Southern Mischief

Hands down! Lmao. The reason is because the vocals rock, the music rocks, and I sense strong talent. So, cheers to Craig's band!

Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.

My favorite bandmix band is...

Julian Sapp. http://bandmix.com/julian-lead-vocalist/

It's very hard these days to come across someone as talented as Julian. He has a unique style that stands out in a class of it's own.

It was a hard decision to make, I had to wrestle with it for a while, but I think when it comes down to pure talent, you'll see why I chose Julian as my favorite Bandmix band. I think he has raised the bar. The rest of you, I'm afraid, have some catching up to do.

I am having a good time listening to the people you guys have suggested.

I can't wait to hear who the others choose.

Either this is a joke, in which case I should kick your ass, since I spent 20 minutes combing the internet on this guy, cause the one track he has up here, sucks, when put in the light of your glowing comments!

Or else...

You are a homosexual who has been confused by 6 pack abs.

I'm hoping it's the latter, because the former, just pisses me off, since I obviously fell prey to the joke. :-)

btw...

Thanks for mentioning my band. I feel honored guys. I will post my own soon, but I need to go back and listen to some other guys here, cause I am terribly guilty of mostly listening to other tracks when artists are asking for feedback, or claim to be the best vocalist or whatever, on the planet. LOL

LOL @ Shred.

Ouch, he's got you there. I did think Julian has some marketable skills, but again not my cup of tea.

Why.. Whatever do you mean Craig?

The complex synth arrangements.. Lyrics like "have a naked party, girl, havin' fun on time". And the power in the vocals "uh.. got muh eye on you hoo"... That's just grammy award winning stuff!!

Man, that intro!!! "I got.. I got to.. I got ta. Gita goin. git.. git.. uh goin'.. goin' goin' goin'.." With that killer eerie synth swell.

I don't know what you're hearing man.. But that is tha bomb!!

Shredd,

I like you guys tune Burn more than I like Julian Sapp. Sapp sounds like a real weak Prince clone to me. I cant tell if you guys are joking or not about him. Craig I like your stuff better than Sapps. Although I come from a hard rock area of music, I enjoyed Irwinsul soundscapes for that movie thing he was doing. I like Jimmy Dangers stuff thou most of it is covers, I think he and I share a musical background.

The problem for me with most music on here and this includes my own is the fact that it all sounds like someone else. If someone on here has something that is totally original or has a totally new sound or genre I wish someone would guide me to them. I enjoy listening to peoples stuff on here, but to say that one is better than another is hard.

I guess lately Ive been really digging into my own song catalog and all thou I have around 100 songs written and recorded none of them have a truelly original sound. There are 3 or 4 songs that seem to be developing some sort of musical identity, but Ive just always settled into the easy routine of copying my favorite bands and player. I dont know if this makes sense to anyone else. It might bear discussing with some of you other songwriters. I guess my question is have you reached your true musical identity?
