I play- guitar, bass piano - let's collaborate and write some spontaneous music. I am mostly melodic,-slow-classic- southern ROCK or just some ROCK - PROGRESSIVE - ALTERNATIVE - I travel with my own guitar and bass, but piano has to be at your location. I bring 1/4 inch cable, but no amp to plug in- I'm a traveling musician and always down to collab and play, you never know. If you have a studio, garage, basement and need a 3rd or 4th? I am pretty good for background southern rock vocalist, rock vocalist, bass, guitar or piano- I'll jump in your originals//covers or we'll make it up when I arrive! :D Hit me up!~I have transpo and time! Cheers

Welcome. And you can edit your posts, or just not give a damn. I play slow, melodic metal kind of stuff that's mostly rhythm guitar. I switch between guitar and bass, due to the fact that 99% of my jamming experience has just been myself and a drummer. Lots of fx, too. I carry them in a toolbox from Ace Hardware. Weighs about 50 lbs!

Talbot, 5 notes are fine. I'm mostly referring to the folks who don't know notes, or chords, or scales, or how to stay sober, or pay child support.......

Hey "all 12 notes" is jazz man. You can't get through Coltrane or Miles without using them all. The secret sauce is knowing when and where they fit. Planet gets this...

For the humor impaired - I was thinking of all the lessons you can find on youtube that swear that pentatonic scales are the key to rock, shred, blues and everything cool. The 'play like a rockstar variety.'

Honestly I don't see the point in even beginners starting with only five. Certainly not metal or jazz. Twelve is not a lot and even for real simplistic playing you need passing tones..

Next time I poke fun at you all I'll put a /sarc tag on it.

Here's me after the guys left today. Fretless bass thru a Boss stereo flanger into 2 15"s and thru 7 FX pedals into the Peavey 10". A LOT of FX, but still doesn't sound completely horrible thru the phone mic. I think?

da schmed.....gettin' down and rockin' out!!! we finally get to hear you!

hey, in the "Hanging Cables Jam"....what yr is that Tele Custom? newer one or vintage? i've been hankering for an older Tele Custom and/or a thinline w humbuckers.

i bought a GFS tele sized twin blade HB for the neck position of my thinline Partsocaster (see pineapple gig photo) but after a yr it still sits in it's box. I've got single coil Rio Grande p/u's in that gtr and I love 'em. one of these days i'll get that HB in!

That's an '08 MIM Tele Deluxe. I posted that one in a Slacker thread when I made it and he yelled at me.

I need to keep experimenting with this stuff, but I have to get a new computer. And learn how to upload some decent stereo tracks (sounded a LOT better in the headphones, going through mics and mixers and some compression). It's a work in progress. :D
