Like wow, far out.

Is a Moog guitar synth like a Roland GR-6 from years ago?

very similar
although I built this one
and I use a moog modular sound engine instead of preset sounds board
it uses piezo instead of the roland magnetic pick up

That looks like fun, nice axe. I used a GR-6 to record Bolero, first and only time I ever used one.

. Bolero? I'd like to hear that Jimmy. Can you put on your profile player?

Ummm, it's around here somewhere, it's 15 minutes long so I had to create a bandmix profile just for it. But if you like that kind of stuff I can send you a CD.

Found and bumped. All melody sounds created with guitars, guitar synth and bass. www.bandmix.com/antal

Oddly enough, I liked that.

Especially around 10:20, tasty Jimmy.. ,.., lol

JCP, nice textures but very repetitive..without certain parts it seems hollow or missing something. Consider adding to it or I can see why you marooned it in "avant garde".

And at :45 I thought it was going to break into "Mary Had a little lamb" for 3-4 seconds.

interesting piece. i would have liked to have heard it go somewhere but that's my opinion and not one you asked for.

so how well does that git-synth track ? does it freak out w string bends? much/any lag time?

You couldn't bend strings with the GR-6 and vibrato was added with a foot pedal. Is this true with the Moog JC?

well, it went somewhere just not where you wanted it to I suppose.

but that's music for you.
if music you call it.

as far as tracking, you judge
it was a one off take, straight to the recorder.
lag is 4 mil sec.
one octave bend on the whammy bar linked directly to the pitch bend controller on the keyboard
string bends vibrato bar you're hearing it as it happened.
it's not perfect,
yet

yes I remember the GR-6 limitations
and no I do not use an expression pedal
no need
I can bend up to or down as the case maybe 2 octaves but beyond one octave takes some set up on the synth keyboard
I also switch the wheel controller over to the volume pot to add time to the release.
in case I want a note to hold.
