My arm and hand are now ready to freakin' shred again! I've already got one of the bestest drummers and bassists in my project and we've got 25 tunes ready to go. Give me about 2-3 weeks to build up my callouses and weve already got about 25 to 30 songs ready to blow the house down. I figure within about a month and we'll start booking gigs as long as we find a competent vocalist. After X-mas, I'l be practicing about 8 or more hours a day as I've got myself all the time in the world. I was already asked to perform on New Years at a big club but I feel that it's waaay tooo soon as I'm one anal musician that will not perform unti I've got the tunes perfect, I'm very flattered, though, that these guys were willng to kick out their original guitarist to have me fill in; I'm back in the saddle again :D After Christmas, I'm ready to practice over 8 hrs. a day. I've got a new Years Eve Party that I was asked to attend and play a few tunes just to get my feet wet. Can't wait to find a vocalist and it's all gigs by then. Broken fingers are healed and destroyed arm is ready to function... GET READY NY....I'M BACK AND READY TO KICK SOME ASS!

Crip

What wonderful news. I was just telling the wife tonight how dumb we are. We pray for things and are then surprised to get what we asked for!

One of the things we asked for was for you to start playing again.

Making a way where there seems to be none is what He does for a livin'.

Merry Christmas and thanks for sharing the news
Talbot

Don't make me pick one of you two, Jeff.

I can't. The guitar prowess of either of you astounds me to no end.

CRIP2NITE,

YES!!!! I don't even know you beyond five posts of yours that I've read, but I've been pulling for you, brother!

NICE!!!

You are the man Kerry. Back from the brink of despair and proving that anything can be accomplished if you want it bad enough and are willing to do what it takes. Merry Christmas my friend and shred a tune for me on NYE. If you ever get out to the west coast, you can sit in with me anytime.

Thanx all for the replies. I barely get to go online anymore. Just want you all to know that I've got about 40 tunes down and am working on a very intricate tune by Steve Morse just for the heluvit! Got my chops back better than ever but I've yet to see if I can wail standing up. Haven't tried that yet! I think I'll be able to but I feel my right arm will not be able to endure playing the long sets I used to when I played out as it gets very tired.....We'll see. The fact that I can play again is a joy in itself! I should count my blessings as right now, that's all I've got! Can't work, can't ride, etc.. so I can put all my time into playing now even more than ever. WHEW...good thing I didn't sell any of my stuff as I haven't any $$ to buy equipment at the moment! Hope you all have a Happy New Year! :D
