A Democracy pretty much looks like a dictatorship when full blown. You know, like they tell you what you can eat and not eat, what kind of cars you should be buying, what kinds of light bulbs you can use, if you can smoke in public parks and streets, how much money that you have worked hard for that you can keep, how fat you can get and still have any health care, if you can move your factory or not, if you have to let lawbreakers steal your jobs, that you have to support them even against the laws of the land, that the money they steal from you can be spent on things that are against your will or religion, that you have to be searched to take a plane, even if you are an 80 year old woman wearing depends in a wheelchair, what you can and can not do on your own property, that you have to move is some company wants your home destroyed so they can put in another parking lot, retail store or strip mall, and tons of other stuff like that.
Thank God we still live in a Republic where the citizens have a say in energy development, health care, what we can drive and so forth.
