Finally something good on MTV as Beavis & Butthead returns with 30 brand new episodes. Mike Judge is bringing back my favorite all-time cartoon characters. I might even have to sign up for cable again...

I guess there's not enough idiots on TV already.

Some of my favorite episodes were the Great Cornholio (are you trying to intimidate me?), Prank Phone Call (you don't know your own address?), Leave It To Beavis (Beavis contacted some asphalt, you said asphalt), Mall Detective (m'aam you'll have to assume the position), Garage Sale (that'll be ten dollars extra for the baby Jesus, you can tell Anderson he can go straight to hell for that, okay I'll tell him), etc. I never laughed my ass off at a cartoon like B & B...

I tried to watch an episode, but I couldn't get past the gawd-awful snickering, so I never gave it a chance or understood the appeal. Maybe I'll check into it in the future, if you think it's so good, bob.

The show was alright. But, it was mostly stupid mean-spirited humor IMO. Overall, I thought Ren & Stimpy was a better show until the suits fired John Kricfalusi. You EEDIOTS!

I don't see how they can top the old episodes. Besides, how much of that goofy giggling from those two can one take?

Seriously man I grew up around some guys just like that.
They were annoying to say the least.

I didn't watch it for years when it first came on. I heard the stories of kids duplicating what they saw Beavis and Butthead doing. Then they put the disclaimer at the beginning of the episodes warning kids not to imitate the characters. Both main characters reminded me of kids I knew when I was young. I like sarcastic humor, B & B is full of that. I forgot about the episode when Beavis had a bloody nose and they couldn't figure out how to stop the bleeding. One of the last scenes in that episode Butthead goes to a store and hangs out by the women's restroom and asks a woman going in "Here's a quarter. Can you get me one of those things when you're having your thing.." The woman punches him in the nose. The last thing you see is Beavis and Butthead sitting on their couch with tampons in their noses to stop the bleeding. The writers for that show were comedy geniuses IMO. And their critiquing of some of the music videos were also hysterical. I am SO glad they are doing brand new episodes. Lots of new, neat stuff for them to get into, cell phones, internet, etc. It took me a few episodes to develop a taste for the show. My wife hates B & B. Too bad I'll own the set when it comes on the air again.

Ah, the dumbing down and desensitizing of America continues. I'm with Mike, there aren't enough stupid shows already? I couldn't get into B&B, but I do like Family Guy, at least they're creative about it. That's as stupid as I'll go.

I tried to watch that Idiot Abroad show. They should've called it "A Dumbass Whiner Abroad." All he did was complain and he wasn't funny. I changed the channel.
