Happy Veterans Day to all you vets!

Strange call this afternoon. It seems this young chick that would come to my bands gigs boyfriend is going to Afghanistan. They want to have a big going away party Thanksgiving weekend. And he said that the only band he would want playing for them is my band Aint Yo Mama! So weve got a really good paying gig lined up to see this young man off.

So I got everyone on the horn and everyone was stoked to do it! We havent been playing real regular, just every few monthes. I think weve done 5 gigs this year. So its good to get a good gig for a cause liek this and then to realize its Veterans Day is kinda neat.

My partner in one of my business's has a 20 yr old son who just left a couple of monthes ago. I got a friend request the other day from him and I sent a message and he immediately responded! So we had a nice long chat aobut how things are going. He is a sniper in Afghanistan. He said tell my dad to check his emails I sent him a letter. So I hollered at his dad and said check your emails W sent you a letter, hes like how do you know. I said ive been chatting with him for the last half an hour. Technolgy has come a long way!

War is hell. The people who go off to fight (many of them volunteers) do so because they believe in our cause. In some cases perhaps our cause turned out to be unjust BUT the people who fight for this country do so with a full sense of honor. The purpose of all militaries throughout history is to kill people and break things until there are no more enemies, no more things to break, or until somebody surrenders. Many wars ARE insane. We hope that OUR purpose is just, and time will tell us perhaps otherwise. But the individuals who VOLUNTEER for service are putting their lives at risk with the belief that they are doing so to give future generations a better life. We can argue until we are blue in the face about the results. The military are in fact hired killers. Disposable? Perhaps, but when enemies threaten us and challenge our way of life the "disposable" killers are unfortunately indispensible killers. I'd much rather go to the enemy's funeral than they go to ours. And I HONOR those people who put themselves in harm's way to give you the FREEDOM TO MAKE DUMBASS OBSERVATIONS and I will take a bullet to give you the FREEDOM TO MAKE DUMBASS OBSERVATIONS because American freedom is better than any government in the history of this sorry planet...

I know they don't. If they did, it really WOULD be an Army of ONE.

The last honorable war the U.S. has been involved in was WW2, which is why when they need soldiers to go kill someone for them they play the "Hitler Card."

Neocons act like we're perpetually stuck in 1941 when they wanna spread war fever. And people eat it up. The public falls for it every time.

I like the documentary "Sir, No Sir!" about Vietnam-era soldiers who refused orders. We need more soldiers like that. If the government LIES us into a war, that should be the signal to pack up and go home. The Neuremburg Trials should have put illegal wars to rest. "Just following orders" was no defense then and still isn't now.

And to make it all worse, veterans are often treated like sh*t in the end. My dumbass aunt loved George Bush so much because of how he "takes care of our soldiers." I guess cutting benefits and supplies, like vehicle shielding, is supposed to "help." If people REALLY supported our troops they would have demanded their immediate return.

Hey Mr. nobody, do you want to live under Shariya law? I don't. Ever since the end of the Korean conflict South Korea has had a fluoreshing economy and North Korea is, well North Korea. Would you have rathered South Korea be like North Korea all these years? I think it was honorable and idealistic to fight the Communists. Their system of government is an abomination and has been proven to be a dismal failure everywhere it's been attempted. You can argue that perhaps we shouldn't have fought in either Korea or Viet Nam. You can also argue that we shouldn't be in the Middle East. What would the MIddle East be like right now if Saddam was still in power?I'm glad he was toppled from power and hung by his neck. I for one feel a giant sense of relief and I'm glad we have a huge base of soldiers over there to continually pummel Al-Quaida whose soul purpose in life is to spread Shariya law and fundamentalist Islam throughout the world. I feel much better that our enemies are continually getting their brains and guts blown out until someday there's none of them left or until they have had enough. I say more power to our brave AMerican soldiers. Thank God they have the intestinal fortitude to volunteer to PROTECT YOUR FREEDOM.

So you are totally unaware that because the military was held back in nam "because of goody two shoes". As soon as we pulled out, it became the testing grounds for the USSR chemical and biological warfare department. Whole villages of people were and still are being wiped out from testing. So your way of thinking is that we should thank them for their horrible painful deaths. If we were allowed to do our job those people would still be alive.
