I got screwed (as usual). I had the day off until one of my fellow morons decided that she suddenly needed a vacation. I'm off to work in about 30 minutes. :x

Happy Labor Day fellow Americans. Since I work for myself I gave myself the day off.

My evap/swamp cooler water pump died on me Saturday so I replaced it but in the process I think I cracked the water tray. This cooler is at least 20 years old and badly corroded, I've been hoping it would last one more year for a few years now but I think it's days are over since it's leaking pretty steady. I have to decide today whether shut it down now and replace it next spring when the sales hit or just let it leak for the next month.

Seems silly to me. Why even call it Labor Day when everyone tries to get the day off. We should work on Labor Day and have the rest of them off.

I'm off today too. I am eating a leftover ribeye sandwich and as soon as the last bite is down I'm going to head to the basement studio to record a song or 2. I recorded drums about a month ago for 45 minutes. Other than that I havent played ANY music in months. It is sickening, embarrassing. But today is MINE! :D

Well that won't happen, I'm spayed. Ha ha.

Cisco keeps calling it Memorial Day. Yesterday, he was outside lighting incense and I asked him what he was doing and he said he was honoring the dead. "It's labor day!"

Yesterday, we went to a civil war reenactment. Got a cool video. I have a new movie editor and crap, I got to read the instructions, so I'll just post the video as it is.

HAHA! I had ribs for dinner! :D

I laid down scratch vox, piano, drums, more scratch vox, organ, bass, leads, more scratch vox, rhythm guitar in that order. I got a lot done in a few hours. Now comes the scrutinizing and rerecording of parts, then its vocals x 6. Then editing editing editing. I'm so glad I got to grab a few precious fleeting moments to archive a song. I wrote it in 09'. I looped it on my tour. its called. "the life that you've made." I didn't loop it for this version. Will post asap!

Labor of love.

I got bad news today.
Drummer is busy working this week so no band practice. :(
I know he's got to earn a living, but we really need to get back into the studio.
At this point I may even be willing to pass on some live shows to complete our recordings.

And then, maybe not.
