fisherman bob & The Bluefin Tuna Band will appear LIVE at The Hideout in Spring Hill, Kansas from 9pm to 1am Saturday Spet 19. That is also Spring Hill's Fall festival day. Arrive early to get a seat, the place should be packed...

Thanks Craig. An acquaintance of mine who's in a band was offered the job, but his band is in tatters so he referred me to it. This place is a real dive. Very small, still allow smoking, and with a rough reputation. I'm not really worried about it as I have played those kinds of places forever without a problem. That particular night it should be packed, but I'm going to try and pack it with my crowd FIRST. The usual crowd may end up in the parking lot if we can fill it first with our friends. We'll give them some good standard rockers like Hey Joe, Red House, Come On, Mustang Sally, James Brown, etc. as well as a lot of blues and some originals. We shouldn't have any trouble. Never have before...

Dingey/grungy - hell, that sounds like the best fun ever, bob. I love those established bars that have been around long enough to get dingey/grungy. They usually treat musicians very nicely, & as long as you're playing what they like, they'll even give you tips more often than those high-fallootin' golfin' club-houses will. The audiences are also more apt to really get into the music & dance or sing along (if they aren't fighting in the parking lot) than the ritzier places.

Have fun & kick butt!

I wish some of your guys were just a little nearer. I'm still waiting on Cap'n to get sorted out. At least he's near me.

Good luck Bob.

Thanks for the kind words. That guitar player is long gone. The keyboard/harmonica player also long gone. Our new guitarist is Michael Emanuel, aguitarsupreme on Bandmix (he lives in Missouri), and we have a new, young harmonica player from RUssia of all places. He's been in this country for about 17 years. I'm sure we'll do fine. The guy that referred me the job has played there over 100 times. He said it's a great little dive. One thing's for sure. That place has never heard or seen anybody like us before.
