Some kids are high strung. They are bubbling over with energy and personality. That's what she is too. It's part of what makes her a star.
Let's not forget that she is not even "just" a star.
She is a SUPERstar.
That is not IN THE SLIGHTEST an exaggeration.
How many adults don't deal well with that kind of fame? And she has it at 16 years old? She is doing REMARKABLY well, and this is a testament to the strong family forces coming through her Father especially.
There are 16 year olds sending nude pics to every boy in school on their cell phones, there is a 17 year old that just tried to blow a school up, there are other kids her age, who do nothing but (and their parents allow this) play video games ALL DAY LONG. There are 16 year olds who are getting pregnant, others who are lookouts for drug dealers, others who are knocking off liquor stores.
What in God's name has Miley Cyrus EVER done to deserve such criticisms, considering what MOST other teenagers her age are doing?
You would think she would be being PRAISED for her committments to both a strong work ethic and her family... you would think.
And Billy Ray deserves a HELL OF A LOT of credit for this as well. He is a hell of a father. Every interview I have ever seen with him, just screams that. That he is a person of strongly held values, and he has a very good relationship with his kids.
TALENT:
She is remarkably talented. Does she sing as well as Christina Aguilera? Hell no. But she blows Britney Spears away. And Britney only DREAMS she could act as well as Miley Cyrus. Not only does she act and sing well, but she plays some guitar, and she is a VERY GOOD songwriter.
VALUES:
I have read an interview with her before, where she states that she doesn't get into the kind of trouble that her famous counterparts do, because she doesn't want to bring SHAME to her family.
Alot of kids ARE ashamed of their own families half the time, and want to distance themselves as quickly as possible, cause they can't do what they want to do, or the parentals don't understand, or whatever. Whatever happened to a sense of SHAME? In a modern world of ANYTHING GOES, it is missing, cause it is hard to find anything that people are ashamed of any longer.
Here, on the other hand, is a girl WHO DOES have those values, and is not afraid to voice them. Family matters to her. Whether she brings pride or shame to her family, matters to her.
Let's criticise her for being ONE OF THE FEW good examples for teens in this world though! Good idea! Let's ruin them ALL.
Does she act too grown up for some out there?
She's a f*cking superstar, known all over the world, meaning she travels all over, she has a great deal of experiences that most teens don't get that young. She has a FULL TIME job. She has to travel to other cities on a regular basis, WITHOUT HER PARENTS or other relatives to fulfill contractual obligations. She is the head of a conglomerate that probably employs THOUSANDS of people across the country.
I think I know a little bit about Miley Cyrus and Hannah Montanna. In fact, I am a virtual EXPERT!
What makes me an expert? I have a 10 year old step daughter. I have learned more about Miley and her alter ego Hannah, than I HAVE EVER wanted to know. But I love my step daughter. I care about what she is exposed to, and who she emulates.
Give the girl and her father a break.
They are part of the SOLUTION.
Not part of the PROBLEM.
