I have similar problems & have no answers...I've tried some of these, though, with varying results. I find that just about any cough drop with eucalyptus will dry out my vocal cords too much.

Lately, the sinus troubles hav gotten downright alarming. I've had a headache for 3 weeks running cuzza this crap & it's more than mildly irritating, I gotta say!

I get the head stuff too but its nice to know I'm not alone. I did use Tiger Balm once in a while but that's surface related so I suspect Friends or something similar will help some?

Thanks again people.

I'm not sure whether by 'nasally' you mean that you sound stuffed up or that you sound like you're singing through your nose.

If it's the former, most forms of anti-congestants and/or antihistamines will probably help. I have pretty bad allergies, so I usually go the antihistamine route when I have to record vocals. I'll also second breathe-right nasal strips. But only if you don't have to be seen anywhere in public (i.e. studio only, and only if nobody's filming it).

If it's the latter, there are a few things you can be conscious of in regards to the shape of the inside of your mouth to put less of the sound through your nose. Trying to be conscious of whether you're "plugging" your nose from the inside or not can help. Sometimes doing this (even half way) will stop that nasally sound. Or you can try changing the shape of your vowels to raise or lower your pallette, which can help a little.

Now that sounds about right Janna thank you.
Hate this. It does not stop pitch setting but I suppose its a mind thing, besides people like different singers for different reasons don't they?

I'm certainly different lol :D

Many thanks for your insight.
Cheers.

Chippy.
