Hi Guys thought I'd post this, if there's any forumites in the area that wanted to check out the show.

I'm the music director and will be supporting the band on Hammond and synth (horns, piano and vibes). I'm also taking my Prevost Tour Bus with a trailer for gear ... so I will have driveing duties as well.

The band consists of:

Bass: Peter August-Sjodin (very funky, think "Flea" Red Hot Chili Peppers)
Guitar: Mike Collins (sounds of Frampton and Jimi Hendrix with Steve Via)
Keyboards: Ron Walker
Drum: Scotty Gamble (one of the top working drummers in BC)

I'll also be sitting in with John Lee Sanders and his band that evening

We will have the pleasure of performing with Keith Emerson on Dec 10th and then again at the after party at a penthouse in Kelowna, we hope that Johnny Depp with get up a sing a few too.

The after party will be the high-lite of the tour for me ... Keith Emerson & Rick Wakeman changed the way I played a Hammond (Prog Rock) in the late 60's, early 70's it will be great fun to jam with Keith.

Ok me first.

WOW!

Ron you are probably one of the nicest musical chaps I've met. You always reply to questions and comments, you seemingly never stop playing and you never brag. I'm totally certain you are where you are because of all of these qualities not least your skill. I've known a few high flyer's in my time in various fields and I am totally filled with admiration.

That said I know to you, this is both your job and your vocation of love so all will come in its stride to you. I doubt many will break that set list here for a while. Hope you enjoy every minute of it.

Sorry Phil ... we're a pickup band for Mystic .. so we only tour in western Canada.

We start reheasals next week (first time we'll play together)

Monday ... going over our parts and getting the groove right
Tuesday ... vox practice and harmonys
Wednesday ... work on the show (stage show)

That sounds awesome! I met Mystic Bowie in 2003 when he was touring with Tom Tom Club, nice chap.

Jimmy .. he is a great guy to work with ... very down to earth .. not a pre madonna.

Howlin ... the Hammond and bus are ready to roll ...

Well we had our first rehearsal with Mystic Bowie this past Monday and it went very well.

None of us have played these song before, other than personal practice, I have played with the drummer before and bass player with other artists.

We have one more rehearsal on Friday then our first show of the tour that night.

Here's a clip ... it's a bit rough on the audio ... they didn't have time to sink up the audio feed from the board with the video so the audio is from one of the cameras.

I hope that lady who wanted to know how to make it as a lead singer looks at this. Note how he moves, kicks up the excitement level, even though it's "only" a rehearsal! He acts like it's the real deal on a real stage with a real audience.

He's got a lot of energy.

Yea Phil ... I'm a little disappointed in the audio side. You can hear me a bit in the begin on the first clip ... but thats about it.

The camera crew is following us around on the tour so there will be some good stuff later on. The jam with Keith Emerson will also be filmed ... I just got the charts for Fan Fare for the Common Man and a couple of others from Keith .. so more work ...
