So I go to download my new tune`s to find out that my buddy`s digi recorder has a major flaw It mirrors the tracks. WHAT A BLOW ! Somehow it`s laying them down forwards & backwards?! I would put it on , I know you think it would start a satanic cult or sound cool (no) or learn the secret`s to everlasting life, but no. Straight noise! It`s not even as cool as Live after death LP spun backward`s!
So now I`ve got to drag everything back out to re-record! Does anyone out there have something that works? That will record off of a PA,all instruments. I`m a dummy when it come`s too hooking all this junk up that`s why I`ve got my techy bud`s for!

I would like something that records and burns CD`S Don`t need anything new. Will play polka for recorder! If someone has something that works I`ll buy it. The music store here you`ve gotta wait a month or two before anything get`s in(they suck) We`ve only one store here.

I`m looking for like 8 channels or 6. Don`t really want a four track unless it burns CD`S. So to anyone with anything that works. Craig told me about something & sound`s good for around 200.00 but what I`m looking for is a more professional recording mixer/recorder. Any thonght`s or anyone with something to off load?? for sure l@@king!!!

Whenever looking at digital recorders, ALWAYS check to see how many simultaneous tracks it records. You may buy an 8 track recorder and find that it only records 4 simultaneously. That sucks.

Rat, I bought one of a simular models and have yet been able to do anything with it . the software that comes with it is so confusing and the support from Alesis really has sucked. I paid 179 for the 8 channel version but I have nothing good to say about it. If yoy are as computer stupid as I am you might do something a bit easier. BTW I have had 6 different people and Alesis try to get this thing working over the last 5 months. I'm trying to get my money back now.

Hey, #1, I've never tried one myself, but I use the Alesis HD24 hard disk recorder along with an Alesis Studio 32 mixer and they work great. Could be the software. That was why I said that about reading the reviews as the one using an i-pod for recording loved it and the one using software hated it. Were you the one using the software that wrote that review on Musician's Friend? Just kidding, but that's why I buy from MF, the 45 day guarantee, so I can check stuff out first. Have had to send a few items back, but always got my money back in timely fashion.
Southernboy, do you already have any equipment like a non-powered mixer? If so, you can get the old ADATs for around $200 off of e-bay or Craig'slist. I used one for a couple of years before going with the HD24. Pretty easy to use. And BTW, I'm going through the same problems with my septic tank. Gotta get it pumped out and then dig around and see if the field line might have stopped up or come loose over the years. Wasn't shootin' at some food, but up from the ground come a bubblin' crude, and it WASN'T oil, dang it.

That's why I think it might be the software. Maybe it plays well with others, but not Alesis.

Keep talking I`m listening, how much does this program cost and how good of a pc do you need?

I guess I ought to load my guitars and backhoe up and come fix a few drains and songs. The works been so slow I'll be back in time to get to my other customers and maybe you can help me figure out why I cant get my recorder working.

Yeah I spent ( well half down)10K today new over fill holding 500 gallon or 1,500? Pump & alarm all new pipes, distrubution box and 2 new drain fields! the whole 9 yards! Hopefully it will be done & inspected by tomorrow?! I have some nice backhoes ,ditchwitches,& trailors 2 of `em in my yard & on my hill! I`d say about 250,000.00 in heavy equipment in my yard right now

I bought the Alises 16 channel Ipod recoder!!!! Slash mixer. From the reviews sounds like some folk`s , to me anyhow, Sounds like they either did`nt have a good enough computer or did`nt know what they are doing??? Either way used paypal & it`s guarnteed from Mus.friend for 45 day`s as well it is insured by the p.p. deal.
So either way happy or not I`m covered on that end. If so I`ll be having atleast one song on my profile hopefuly in a month? (which I`ve laid off of BM Thier not too bad as long as you get on and learn what the hell u can post & cannot.) BM should put the rules & reg`s straight out but that`s life! Thank you ratass & everyone else can`t wait it`ll be here next week and then I`ll get on it & you cat`s can gimmie yo thoughts!!
