Etu Malku wrote:Can anyone here lucid dream?

I have before, but it's not something I TRIED to do, so I probably couldn't MAKE myself do it on a regular basis, without programming my mind before sleeping or something.

But in reverse of that...

One night SCARED THE LIVING SH*T out of me!!!

I was dreaming and going through a very sharp dream, very lifelike, and when things started going downhill in the dream, I woke up in a sweat, and was RELIEVED AS HELL to realize it had all been a dream, and then later...

I REALLY WOKE UP!

So, I had been saved in the dream, by waking up, but I didn't really wake up. I only DREAMED I had woken up and escaped from the dream. I was STILL DREAMING... but when I "woke up"... in my dream, everything seemed more real than the nightmare part of the dream... in other words, it TOTALLY FELT that I had really woken up, and everything was as normal as could be... until something weird happened, and I REALLY woke up this time.

It's a little spooky to dream you woke up, and you didn't!!!

You feel like.... So, IS THIS "REALLY" REAL NOW, finally or not?

LOL

My most recurring dream involves a plane crash. Usually I'm just watching it happen. One of the stranger ones the plane went into the ocean but then zoomed right out again after a few seconds!

I believe dreams are just a way to entertain the brain while the body rests.

Yes.
I have heard the whole look at your hands routine.
But first you must realise you are in the dream world, without waking yourself. A tricky manuver at best.
Oddly enough, I have dreamed myself doing specific Gung Fu manuvers, and then been able to perform them the next day.
Perhaps it is entertainment, but I believe some enlightenments can also come from the "other" reality.

There are way better techniques than the 'hands' thing or techniques like that. Actually the hands thing works better for astral projection.

One technique that has worked immaculately for myself is a sigil that I retain in my subconscious and recall it as I drop off to sleep, the sigil of course has already embedded a message for my subconscious.

Interesting:
What is a sigil ?

Though I no longer practice, I was at one time well into "mastery" level of meditation practice. I do not recall this terminology. Though I know it is different amoungst the different "schools".

I was taught that to benefit from dream direction, one had to acquire his awareness through the force of will.
Simular to turning off internal dialogue to be present in the moment, but in the dream state.

Boy, this stuff is difficult to discuss in print.
