Another song uploaded. RAIN
This recording is from back in February of 09. Shortly after we comletely re wrote this song.
The vocalist will probably stone me to death for putting this on the Mix.
I also hesitated to post due to the experimental aspect of the lead guitar parts, ....... but what the heck, ya'll already know I suck, so whats the harm right?

Any and all critique welcome.

I like the feel of this, George. Your noodling is coming along well in this one. Get something concrete to play, & do it the same way every time for awhile. This one's calling out for a signature lick, man.

Get rid of the rhythm electric & use the acoustic.

You're doing well, so far. Keep working on it. It could use a bridge, too, or a lil lead solo over the chorus. Write that lick. It's a good song, man.

Thanks Phil.
Sometimes Ray does the rhythm acoustically.
I really like the feel of this one when he does.
I enjoy being able to play the lead accents spontaiously.
But your right. This song need a good concrete lead.
I have considered bumping the mids a tad, rolling back the tune control on my guitar, and switching to the neck pick up for a more hollow bluesie tone.
I dont think we have even played this song since February.
I will encourage the guys to work it into the set list for the next show.

That's an AWESOME song. definitely need to get this back in your repertoire, and create others with a similar sound. I know the clean sound on this is a departure from your signature sound but it's a very nice change of pace. I GUARANTEE your fans will love it...and a little variety in tone will make your sets of music much interesting. I'm considering doing a few accoustic tunes myself, just to change up our sound here and there.

Thanks guys.
We actually have several tunes in our book that are " off signature ".
I will be glad when I have more recordings to share.
I think you may be surprised how versitile we can be.
I have not done an official count in a while, but I believe our cataloge of originals is in excess of twenty songs already.
We catagorise them in a Heavy / Medium / Light.
Then mix the set list to match venue.

Thanks for the listen ya'll.

Be CAREFUL of mixing the set list to match the venue. As you develop a following you want to be very consistent at ALL venues. You might throw in a FEW tunes to match a particular venue, but you DO NOT want to change up too much for your devoted growing following.

Really ?
I never even considered that to be an issue.
I trust your judgement on this sort of thing so I will have to give it some thought.
We sometimes play inside the Sanctuary for a Church. Often a partof the crowd is a little more "mature" if ya catch my drift.
We usually dont play anything off the heavy list while in a Sanctuary.
Now let us get outside, or play for the youth group. He HE He HEEEEEE
