I laugh how 200+ year old partys think they can bring change, their as old as the hills, theres no change in that.

Ron Paul was the "only" candidate I would have wanted... but then he's just too sensible for our government isn't he!

I liked much of what Ron Paul said.
Yet in an age where you can fly a guy with ebola to the other side of the world in just a few hours. We cannot afford to ignore the rest of the world.
Isolationism, worked well before the invent of the siege.
Now it's a death trap policy. We must be light on our feet, and aware of our surroundings to remain reasonably safe.

Property taxes should be outlawed, period.

Does anyone know of a county that doesn't operate on property taxes?

I work for a county government, and right now I don't think we could function without property taxes.

Because they do operate on property taxes doesn't mean they *should* operate on property taxes.

I'm gonna side with Kramerguy on this one. It's unethical in that if you purchase an item, it should be yours - you shouldn't have to continue purchasing the right to have that item. That is, failure to continue paying should not result in further fines and or the taking away of that item that you "purchased".

There are plenty of alternative tax routes. Sales tax, personal income tax - etc. Of course, my personal preference is a flat percentage tax - that would save red-tape trees. ^.^

I'd say you're way off the mark. That's not even realistic.

But hey - don't take my word for it. I only work for a local government. You don't have any first-hand knowledge or experience, so obviously you know more than I do.

1st. I'd have a thorough look through and possibly sack everyone in power who had a sniff at a backhander. There are lots of backhanders here. Furthermore I would make totally sure that those people dealing in backhanders would never get the chance to do it again.

2nd. I would look into this so called constitution that makes it possible for lawyers to conjure something from nothing, sway audiences (The jury).

** I know they know their jobs and they do it VERY well. It's the system that needs simplifying.

3rd. Press 1 for any other language. I'm not a racist AT ALL! But please I live in an English speaking country, (So far). Press 1 for any other language.

** If this changes then I'll change. I have too when I've traveled to other places. (Has anyone here gone anywhere?)

4th. Taxes are NEEDED, how else would things get paid for? The Lottery? Make it so all can be seen, not cluttered on some random desktop monitored by someone clock watching.

The 5th. (Important one this). If you have entered this country illegally then you have to abide by the laws of the land. (Hopefully simple ones - laws).

6th. Scrap the entire Local government thing over here. Has anyone any idea just how much this costs? I would hate to hazard a guess at all but in my district we have a filtration system of PEOPLE you NEED TO SEE, and then they always pass you on, Local/Town/District/Area/ and so on...... Gee

only 80%? I work for the military, It must be damned near 90-95 percent. Oh and dont forget that they give your money away to their friends calling it a mailout.

My dear old father has always maintained the only fair taxation is a sales tax.
Same % applied to anything and everything anyone buys anywhere.
Makes sense to me.
Let the forigen dignitaries pay their own way when they come to the US.
The freakin Queen can stay at the Hloiday Inn, Just like I do, on her own dime.
