I have entered several songs in a contest for a movie that is being filed here in Michigan...I wrote another one, specifically for the movie. The movie is about an ex junkie who suddenly gets custody of his little girl. The producers of the move are asking for original songs, that are emotionl and based around the story line. Anyways, I uploaded the song..It's first on my play list.."who I am now" Here are the lyrics

Tough crowd!!! Oh well...I guess what matters is that I like the song and hopefully the producers will.

when you listen to the song you have to remember it is written for the movie about an ex-junkie who gets custody of his 4 year old girl...a loaner type guy who never really loved anybody, lived day by day...etc...

I can see it in my head...he brings his little girl home and he's not sure how he can handle being a father....

Try to vision that when you listen to the song...and read the lyrics...this is just a rough copy; it's all the producers ask for to see if a song as that emotional appeal for certain parts of the movie.

No, I think you were posting the same time I was posting...when I made my post there had been no replies....I do thank you for your feedback

I learned a long time ago that when a company receives an artist's recording, they expect to be impressed. They are not going to give much of a listen to a home recording, no matter how much talent you possess. I like your song, Debbie, but imho, you'll have to "spruce it up" a bit for them to take you seriously.
