Hey Crip we have an Adrenaline band that plays the same places that we play around Memphis. I noticed their name on your flyer.

My band, Rat Sass, will be playing this Friday and Saturday night at the 22nd Annual Bavis Pig Roast. I'll be handling the PA. We will have a young opening band and there will probably be guest performers as the nights go on. We'll start about 7 this evening and play 'til the wee hours of the morning with lots of partying going on. Then tomorrow will work out about the same except that there will be lots more people there earlier on to play horseshoes and they will have a pig cooked in the ground coming out for all to eat. It's out in the middle of nowhere and there is room for people to camp and set up tents (and they do). It all started about 22 years ago when this guy, Bill Bavis, who owns the land, had a cookout with a local band playing on his front porch. They had so much fun that they started doing it every year. Word got out and more people showed up each year, so finally he built a big outdoor covered stage with drum riser and plenty of electricity. A few years ago he put in some toilets (a men's and a women's) and it has turned into quite the deal. Our band hasn't played there in the past few years and they really wanted us to do it this year. Also the pay is much better as we will each make a hundred dollar bill per night, plus I'll make a couple of hundred for supplying the PA and running it for the whole show. Throw in some going down to the old swimming hole, plenty of beer, great food and good people, and you have the makings of one hell of a party!!! It'll be a hoot!

Sounds like my kind of show Rat.
I love those laid back things where everyone has fun. Did the same sort of thing some years ago with two bands that became one on the night, two drummers 'n' all. What a lot of fun.

Good luck to you pal.

Chippy.

No.. Adrenaline is another band that Paul Terror put together.... This guy is a phenomenal singer and he's got 4-5 projects going on and I almost fell off my chair when he called me and asked me to be the lead axe of the main act for that night... This will definitely help me in the exposure department

Playing a live gig with client Goose on 07/05/09. It's a festival at a farmer's market in the area. After the big holiday, I'm not sure how many will be out shopping for produce with the hangover that will ensue that morning... I'll try to remember my camera and have someone take some pics, if they aren't all partied out from the big 07/04 home game for the local baseball team...

Damn, JW! I was gonna do a rally for Alzheimer's, but then I forgot all about it...

Jace is set up for his op next week, & his heart murmer has disappeared, somehow...

The guy with the plate in his head has cancelled his audition this week, cuz he's in the hospital...

Dunno if we have another guy lined up, yet, cuz me drummer hasn't returned my call...

To hell with everything. I'm goin' fishing tomorrow!

We had to turn down a gig for the 4th. It was scheduled for 8am.
No way Ray or Tony can do two hours Friday night and then sing again at 8am on Saturday. Truly I dont know how pro singers do it night after night.
Best wishes to all for the weekend. It's going to be assholes and elbows at the hospital this weekend.
I tell ya, the folk in the gated comunitys dont give a crap how overloaded the hands on medical staff are. It's a wonder their patients are not dropping like flies over a fire.
