While performing at gigs we are on stage watching the crowd and what goes on. For instance, the pick ups, the domestic arguments, bar fights, someone coming in with one date and leaving with another, etc. What "entertaining" things has any of our fellow musicians witnessed while performing?

Here's one from my past:

My band was performing in a small town bar one night when there was this handicapped guy in a wheelchair enjoying himself. After drinking a few shots decided he wanted to hear a tune that we didn't know. He got pissed and was using his motorized wheelchair to run over our lead singer. It was hilarious. He was trying to sing while running away from this dude.

Any good stories out there?

When I was with neoceltic band "Stonecircle" we played an outdoor gig at a festival, large crowd - and in a very religiously conservative (Christian) place. Well during one of the more upbeat songs, a few Pagans started dancing near the front of the stage (in all their garlanded, pierced and face painted glory) in a sort of circle contra dance....and others in the audience started joining them, copying the dance and making the circle bigger and bigger until it formed into an old time "Spiral dance". It was amazing to watch this thing just spontaneously grow, but you should have seen the looks of anger/horror on the more conservative members of the audience as all these heathens were whooping it up near the front. It was hilarious. As a joke, after the song was done, I called out to the audience to ask if there was a priest in the house to throw some holy water around, to chase out all the racous demons these folks had unleashed by their dancing.

Oddly enough, we got asked back the next year.

When I was playing one time a beautiful woman started stripping on the dance floor. Doesn't get much better. heehee

One time I was playing and I think it was a band competition. Well the Emcee was a guy that was known around town as somone YOU DON'T F**K WITH. Not that he started sh*t but he'd end it(if you get what I mean). This bar was near Nellis Airforce base so it frequented by flyboys. Well this guy started heckling Vinny(encee) while he's on stage doing his schtick. This guy was really rude and insulting to the wrong guy. After Vinny got off state he came over to our table(we all knew him) and asked us where the heckler was. We pointed to the said heckler and the rest was a show for everyone except the heckler.

Reminds me of the biker scene from "A Bronx Tale".

Just the normal stuff.

A few flashers(allways fun) The ocassional Bar fight, The best being between two great looking girls, sadly no clothes got ripped off. But a Beer bottle was broken and brandished as a weapon. Hey they need music to fight to so we never even paused. The gig were the Female vocalist almost got picked up by another woman and did'nt realize what was going on, but everyone else did. There was the Gig that the rock and roll sprit moved me to jump up onto the speakers and promply bust my ass. Embarising to say the least, never missed a note. A couple of years ago playing in a small bar "A Joint" Our very conservative, church going, old school, non single, southern white male singer received the "french kiss" from a very middle aged woman (put kindly). Of course it happened to be a night that we were video taping the show. Instant blackmail material. If you don't watch the crowd you are missing perhaps the best show. Reality is so much more entertaining than fiction.
