So a week ago we played a gig. We were all up till 3-4-5 in the morning. After a few hours of sleep I went to IZ's apt. to take a friend to catch a bus to California.

Everyone looked sleep deprived and hung, so I offered to take IZ and Chris to breakfast to try to get.. Uh.. Un-hung. I guess. And we grubbed out. Afterward we decided to come to my house and mess with the Cubase. And, yea.. This is what we did.

Gotta give my props to IZ for being able to sing after a rough night..

The song is called Check your behavior. Feel free to check it out.

His voice is definitely smooth, especially after gigging and being up all night.

Great pipes, for sure. Nice bass work, too.

This groove stuff gets dull for me to listen to after awhile, but it's pretty cool live, I suppose. I'd still appreciate a lil bridge, though I know it wouldn't fit into the genre, as a rule.

Good mix & pro-sounding recording. Nice job, Shredd.

In all honesty, IZ is a phenomenal singer. You should hear it without the music. It's pretty cool.

He's also the one who wrote Love Me For Me and Temptations. For being 20-years old, I'm always amazed by his talents. He's really good at R&B. Reggae, and oddly enough musicals.

Philby, I'm pretty sure a bridge will be written for this. Sometimes it's Ryan who specializes in that kind of thing, and he hasn't really messed with this song yet. This was just a quick Sunday afternoon demo recording. I personally think maybe some verse lines can be cut as well to shorten the song. As it is in this recording, the rhythm is a little monotonous. But that might be because I only made one drum sequence that day.

I do seem to be getting a little better with my recording equipment. Altogether, the equipment cost me somewhere around $600. So it's fairly cheaply done. I just have to tweak and use my ears the best I can.

All in all, it's a fun recording. I think Iz has a bright future on the way, and I'm glad to be a part of it right now.

Thanks for the good comments homies, they're much appreciated.

Peace.
