Ok, the new computer's finally here, but riddle me this. How do you download a file to a specific folder? When I click on download, and the run/save option comes up I click on save, and the computer starts saving the file to some mystery folder without asking me first what folder I wanted it saved to.

Ok, the new computer's finally here, but riddle me this. How do you download a file to a specific folder? When I click on download, and the run/save option comes up I click on save, and the computer starts saving the file to some mystery folder without asking me first what folder I wanted it saved to.

Usaly it goes to downloads, wich are located if you clic start and then click on the listing of your computors name, this listing is created when you give your computor a name during initial setup. In this window you will see a listing for downloads, you double clic that and all of your downloads will come up and from there you can move them to where you want.
