I'm not into country at all, hate it in fact, but I do have to give credit to good guitar players no matter what they play, even if they have the acute lack of taste to play country.

So I was surprised when I saw Eric Clapton's Crossroads guitar festival on PBS and Vince Gill was one of the acts. I almost decided it was time to go outside for a smoke, did go to the kitchen to grab a refill, but on the way back through he had just started into a lead...I stayed to catch the rest of the song. Any country picker that can get me to stay and watch has to be good, and that guy really threw out some killer licks. Check out the Crossroads show if you have a chance, in addition to that one, loads of great guitar pickers. Joe Walsh, John Mayer, Clapton of course, ZZ Top, Santana, BB King, Buddy Guy, Steve Cropper...and several old school blues players too.

Don't have time to check out the vid right now, I'll try to catch it later though, if the pickin' is that good...
