I will be out of town for a while. Taking a trip into the Rockies with my elderly Father to hunt Elk.
I really cant afford the time or the trip, but my Dad IS going and I won't allow him to make this trip alone.

George/sans, man make the most of your time with your Father. If you haven't yet, become his "friend" as well as staying his son. 7 years later, and i still wish i could talk to my Pop...i catch myself reaching for the phone to call just to say "did you see, read, hear _____?" it's a fleeting moment of course, but it's real (to me) nontheless.
Hell man, i'd take my Pop yelling at me like i was a drunken teen that just got arrested...just to hear his voice. LOL seriously.

I'm back. No kills but an awsome time had by all four of us. Our last morning in camp was a snow covered 10 degree, it's time to go home kind of morning.
My Father held up well under the stress. And yes we are very close at this time in our lives where we are both Fathers and Grandfathers.
Time to reinvest time and funds into my music project. Hope all are well and gigin your asses off.

Thanks J . We had a great time, and maybe just in time. Had a dear uncle pass on today. Was sudden like. Fell hit his head and went home to our Fathers place to wait for the rest of us.
Man you just never can tell when your time is up.

Sorry to hear about your uncle, that happened to a friend he was going on vacation to upstate New York to visit family the next thing I know I get a call saying he had fallen and hit his head and passed away. He was on blood thinners and as a result the hit caused an anurism. I was just talking to him 5 days before telling him have a safe trip and I will see you when you get back. I wrote a song about him and performed it at his funeral. I remember my pops telling me how short life is way back when I thought I was invinsible but man I know now.
