I'm listening to it now...I like the spacy feel at the start. Chord progression is interesting, even though it seemed like it was gonna be some worn out old thing when it started. It seems a bit long for what it is, but I'm assuming you're going to add vocals at some point.
I see what sans is saying about the tone, but I think it's inherent in the genre, & is probably just what you want for it.
It does need some kick butt vocals to round it out, but it's a good start. Kinda droney for my taste. I always try to break it up with a good bridge or something, yet I know that's not what this stuff is about.
Might be more interesting if you returned to the spacy feel for an outro?
