Hey keyboard players, what are some classic examples of both of these electric pianos on record? About all I'm really(?) sure of is Billy Preston using a Rhodes for the "Get Back" solo, and the Supertramp intro to "Bloody Well Right" being a Wurlitzer. Was the piano Ian McLagan played on "Stay With Me" either of these makes?

I don't know about recordings, but Tom Petty's keyboard player Benmont Tench keeps a Wurlitzer onstage with his rig, and I'm pretty sure that's what Cheryl Crow's keyboard player was using too. Mine sounds fabulous, I'd love to have a keyboard amp and room to keep it set up so I could try and practice a little and get halfway decent at playing the thing. Unfortunately I barely have room to walk through and no keyboard amp so it's leaning up in a corner gathering dust...

Our high school jazz band had a Rhodes 73 ( so named because it had 73 keys instead of 88) and the thing sounded even better I think, but that could be my memory playing tricks on me or because the keys player actually knew how to play the thing. I played it quite a few times, I played everything in the band room, and it was really nice. Both have weighted keys so they have something close to the feel of an acoustic piano.

How about Grand Funk Railroad's "Mean Mistreater"? I've always wondered if that was a Wurly or Rhodes. Anybody know?
