Well, the really big co's are using the big famous ppl.
There's a band outta the Balto/DC area I saw last yr called "Fools & Horses" that got sponsored by ClearVoice. I thought that was pretty cool. I like & use the stuff occasionally, & have for about 6 yrs.
I think I'd try to go that route. Find a new guitar, amp, accessory gear, or even clothing co that is just starting up, who has a product you like, & offer to let them set up advertising of their product line at all your shows, for some extra money & free use of their products.
Of course, you have to be able to prove that you get lots of work, & do the bigger shows, to convince them that you're a good investment.
A guy I know did that with Pritchard Amps, too. He gets to use them for free. I met Eric Pritchard & played a lot of his amps when he was just starting. He'd bring them to an open mic to try them out in a real setting.
Find these ppl that are just getting started with their own co's, & get associated with them. As your act grows theirs will, too. At least that's what I'd be telling them.
