Ah, but AV, anyone can get an instrument & learn to emulate someone else on it. NO ONE can get your own voice! That makes it truly unique.

I prefer real cheese to processed cheese like food as well.
American Idol, well, It sucks. To each his own though. I'd rather watch the grass grow.

im the bands vocalist,
i got the part becuase I said I could sing dream theater and a7x stuff, when they tested me, they siad i was the only guy who could sing what i siad i could, and was actually good at it.

but an REAL instrument is something that not everyone has. everyone has a voice (some less then others) but a dedicated instrument player is a true gift.

Nope ain't straight at all. Phil said what I was gonna say. Everyone has a voice. Anyone can get a hand-held instrument. It's the work you put into it, and ofcourse the "talent."
I used to be a mediocre singer bout 6 years ago (haha yea memories).. I put so much time and effort and I got better, I developed a better "ear," and found a comfort zone for my vocals.
I'm positive every other musician experienced the same thing with respect to their instruments.
