Hope his high score on guitar hero makes him magically into a better player...

...unless he breaks the blue button. LOL Hey, which chord is the blue button? red? yellow?

I always laugh when people come from playing those type of "games" and then say how their playing is improving.

Can you say "delusional"?

It actually CAN help in some ways...Keeps your fingers loose and keeps you entertained at the same time.

Let me quote some of the better players on this site.

It takes practice of real chords to learn finger muscle control.

The "blue button" is not learning finger muscle control. It's not even a real chord.

Even on the argument that it could be considered "learning by doing", it is not playing a real instrument. It is, in no way, similar to a real guitar, other than shape. No buttons on a guitar right? So it doesn't even improve your feel.

You may as well be playing air guitar.

I know one thing for sure. SLASH does not play Guitar Hero, not even in his spare time. lol And no one gets bored and plugs their GUITAR HERO guitar into their Marshall Stack. (LOL that's a killer right there)

Slash did it for the $...believe it.

I equate it to a guitar with keys, at very best. You know that ugly looking keyboard that looks like a guitar.

But once again, nobody is saying that real guitar and guitar hero are the same thing...One takes years of practice to even be able to play a full song without screwin up, and the other is a fun GAME that CHILDREN can play to be entertained. It's not meant to be real, it's meant to be a game! And I won't say it again.

Haha, Lol. Yeah, I understand it is just a game, I just do not like anyone who thinks they are something awesome for it, I have seen many people like this.

I think we understand your point, Ryan. You have made it clear, Lol. Just relax man, like I said, this is stupid, it is a game - it holds no importance to reality.

Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.
