Wow, just heard some of it. Amazing.

Joni Mitchell sings one of the songs. Also has
Tina Turner, Norah Jones, Corrine Bailey Rae, and more.

I think these are all Joni Mitchell lyrics, which he has put the music to.

But... "Jazz musicians don't care about words?" Not sure about that. There are alot of famous Jazz singers. Not all Jazz is instrumental.

The Beatles have inspired the whole scene for better than 45 years.
Lyrics, Meledy, and GREAT Production. First time in a long time I had a tear in my eye watching the Grammy's. Let It Be and when Herbie took the Prize. Say what you want about the Beatles but the truth is they HAVE passed the audition.

Most of the award shows don't mean a whole lot to me. Seems like a lot of time they're just a meat market, a way for someone to get publicity. And there's SO MANY award shows any more. They should have an award show for the best award show. Later...

Herbie Hancock had a great album called "Headhunters," but I don't think it was a band.

Beatles rule for me, mostly cuz no two of thier gazillion songs ever sounded alike, or derivative of other contemporary acts (well, except for thier covers). They always had such great lyrics, hooks, melodies, the whole package.

Well, & thier production was unsurpassed, even today.
