Irving Berlin wrote it, on his special piano (transposing piano) that could transcribe any tune he thunk up to any key signature and Berlin was rumored to not know how to read or write music, (but that is not necessary to be a "genuine" musician anyhow)

my favorite version is Bing Crosby's because I loved Bing's voice a baritone which would be mainly out of style for today's heavy metal screamers..

I don't listen to Christmas music (well, I try to avoid it, sometimes its inevitable in stores). Or jazz. Rock, folk, classical for me.

Christmas music can suck it. It already has a foothold into two months of the year and we're going to discuss it in the summer? FUGNO!!!
