General Music Chat

My drummers prefer rubber gripped sticks and used athletic tape wrapped around the sticks before that. They're late bloomers on the drums, however. My guy who played since he was a kid used nothing but bare hands and wooden sticks. Good luck.

Hey brother, simply tape the finger that's peeling and problem solved. Use white athletic tape, works great.or in a pinch electrical tape or duck tape. No worries. Good luck... Dan

This is a common problem with amateur drummers. First and foremost this problem you are having is caused by using the wrong stick size for your hands and you are performing your stick movements incorrectly and you are holding them wrong.
