yep. that was friday night.... gtr playing w PLANET JAZZ for the first gig....bass w THE 121's for the second.
similar deal last weeked too. solo gtr for the afternoon at a winery...then bass at the truckstop that night w121's.
the different instr are fun and so is going from one style of music to another. what isn't fun is carting all the required equip and making certain i have ALL my stuff for both gigs!
spring thru fall is busy time and i actually end up doing some TRIPLES! i usually play three or four saturdays doing a morning Farmer's Mkt gig w Mere Mortals Bluegrass Band.....then play either a solo or a Planet Jazz gig in the afternoon...then finish up that night at the truckstop w THE 121's.
the van gets pretty filled up w equipment and man....it does take some serious thought... checking, and rechecking to make sure i have all the necessary equip!
Crop rotation...i love it!

jookeyman wrote:Do you ever travel to St. Louis to play, Mark? Isn't that about an hour drive for you or is it further?
every now and then we'll do something in St Louis or KC, but it's been awhile, as it has to be real good money to warrant the drive. St Louis is about 90 min and KC about 2 1/2 hrs.
BREAD IS GREAT!
